MusicARte was created by Vibrisse Studio (Marcello Stefanelli and Gabriele Santucci) and Lorenza Saettone, Philosopher and PhD in Social Robotics at the University of Genoa.

What is it?

MusicARte is a deck of 52 cards that, thanks to the combination of gamification and augmented reality (AR), teaches just how fun classical music can be.

The deck consists of 30 animal cards20 composer cards and 2 wild cards. Each animal-totem card depicts a specific animal, crafted with meticulous attention to detail — including backgrounds and frames — and strictly hand-painted by Vibrisse Studio. The remaining composer cards feature the most important composers in music history: Vivaldi, Chopin, Mozart and many more…

How do you play?

By pointing the dedicated app camera at any animal card, a musical excerpt associated with that image will magically play. Your goal is to correctly identify the composer of the piece you just heard. To do so, scan the chosen composer card with the device camera. A correct match earns you a point; a wrong guess loses one.

To do this, scan the composer card you have chosen with your device’s camera. If the match is correct, you earn a point; if the answer is wrong, you lose a point.

You can play head-to-head (PvP), in solo mode, or multiplayer. The possibilities for customization and creativity are enormous. In addition to the tracks already included in the app, you can upload your own MP3 files, deciding what to play and for how long.

With every new game, the tracks associated with the animal cards are shuffled, so identifying the composer and the piece is genuine rather than based on simple memorization.

From the settings panel you can fully personalise the game by inserting your favourite musical pieces.

The applications are virtually endless.

Infinite customisation

From the settings panel you can fully customize the game by adding your favorite musical pieces.
